For over 60 years, the pros have chosen the original Hammond™ Organ above all others. Tonewheel Organs were finally phased out of production in the mid-70's in favor of newer designs. This lead to the ultimate demise of the original Hammond™ Organ manufacturing company, since they could never sonically replicate the Tonewheel. Years later, the Suzuki Corporation™ bought the Hammond™ company rights and started making digital sample-based organs. Synthesis and sampling schemes have consistently failed to match the sound of a genuine Hammond™ tonewheel.
